This track used actual Wave Samples of instrument riffs. I made the drum track as usual, and also sampled an older record by Norman Connors. I doubt you could make out the loop because it was time stretched to a faster tempo. I also added my own piano from NNXT in Reason because I always like to add my own flavor.

Looking for an inspirational loop during Alicia's performance, and she freaked it in 3/4 Time.

I sampled an old vinyl record from Norman Connors titled "This is Your Life." I'm on side 1 of the record and I think I sampled the beginning of track 4 called "Listen." I chopped individual pieces of the chords and it came out with a vintage vibe. Kind of an underground beat like a D.J. Premier Style...I don't usually compare myself, but in this case it may be true just because of the analog vinyl record sample similarities.

This was a favorite song of mine growing up in the 1980s. I used to sing it in the shower as well. Michael Jackson probably had one of the greatest impacts on me. I didn't intend the song to become chopped and pitched to a different tune like it is here. I was trying to loop the original beginning but had some technical difficulties matching it up. So when I found a new option I ran with it! This is another track made on FL Studio and recorded into the MBOX2 with a NOVA m audio Mic. It's better when I use a mixer before the MBOX for the vocal signal chain, but my Behringer was broken at the time.
